BIBLIOTECA
BIBLIOTECA
BIBLIOTECA was founded in 2020 in the heart of Polanco, CDMX, by Abelardo Marcondes, with a clear mission: to revolutionize the sportswear industry with a focus on sustainability and social responsibility.
We believe in creating products that not only offer excellence in design and performance but also respect the planet.
At BIBLIOTECA, every piece of clothing is much more than just apparel; it is a statement of conscious style, aiming to inspire people to make more responsible and eco-friendly choices.
Our vision is to build an active community that not only dresses with quality but also feels part of a movement that promotes environmental care. We want every piece you wear from BIBLIOTECA to remind you that the well-being of the planet is in your hands.

Ecosystem restoration related to the preservation of sea turtles in the Riviera Maya, Tulum.
Bamboo grows rapidly, reaching its full size in just a few months, making it a renewable resource. Additionally, it doesn't require pesticides or chemical fertilizers for cultivation.
Low environmental impact: Bamboo uses less water compared to other crops like cotton. Moreover, bamboo fabric production typically generates fewer CO₂ emissions and consumes fewer resources.
A large portion of recycled microfiber comes from recycled plastics, such as PET bottles. By reusing these materials, we prevent plastic accumulation in rivers and oceans, reducing pollution and the impact of plastics on marine life and other ecosystems. By choosing clothing made from recycled microfiber, we support sustainable and responsible practices in the fashion industry, fostering greater environmental awareness and more conscious consumption.

Recycled Cotton:
Recycled cotton comes from existing textiles, such as discarded clothing, manufacturing scraps, or end-of-life fabrics.
BIBLIOTECA was officially founded. For our inaugural activist initiative, we equipped and sponsored a dedicated group of Mexican hikers with the essential gear needed to successfully summit Mount Kilimanjaro.
Partnering with the environmental organization Ectagono, we organized a targeted coastal cleanup in Tulum, Riviera Maya. Through hands-on action, we successfully removed exactly 143 kilograms of diverse waste from the shoreline
In alliance with Together Brand, we co-created exactly 100 limited-edition bracelets handcrafted by a local indigenous community. Operating on a circular model, a direct percentage of all proceeds was given back to support and empower this community.
We produced an exclusive run of 100 purpose-driven t-shirts in support of the México por el Clima movement. Each piece was designed to serve as a wearable manifesto to amplify national climate awareness.
We are collaborating with Fundación Pro Cuatro Ciénegas and Saving Our Sharks. With the latter, we are actively dismantling Hollywood’s cinematic stigma to reveal sharks as a vital umbrella species—just like the terrestrial bison. Protecting these apex guardians creates a protective ecological canopy for the entire marine ecosystem
